Hi, I’m Dr. Patty Russo and I help children, teens, and families who are looking for support with life’s difficulties and creating positive changes. I have a passion for working with elementary through high school ages where the terrain may feel overwhelming and even somewhat uncharted, especially growing up in this world of technology and social media. I take on a family and interpersonal approach to therapy and place emphasis on creating a safe and understanding environment that focuses on the individual.
Whether it is acting out, school issues, family conflict, healthy dating, social skills, anxiety, or depression I strive to help adolescents become more successful at home, school, and with their peers. I aim to not only help children and teens learn healthy coping strategies, but also provide parents with support and tools to better connect with their kids and improve interactions at home.
I have specialized experience working in a residential treatment program for youth and outpatient family, individual, and group therapy. I also provide comprehensive evaluations, including but not limited to giftedness, learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum, and mood disorders. I think it is important to go beyond diagnosis and provide recommendations for accommodations, advocacy, and community resources.
When I am not at work you can find me enjoying family game night, playing basketball, or attempting new Pinterest recipes.
